The Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (England) Regulations 2024
These Regulations provide a definition for a single-use or disposable vape and make it illegal for a person to supply single-use vapes in the course of a business whether or not such supply involves the exchange of money. ‘In the course of a business’ could, by way of example, refer to supply carried out by a registered business or by an individual operating illegally. The Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2025
These Regulations amend the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (Wales) Regulations 2024, which apply in Wales and prohibit the supply of single-use vapes. The amendment makes changes to regulation 10 of the principal Regulations, which contains powers of entry and examination, including the search for and seizure of single-use vapes, and components of single-use vapes. The Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025
The purpose of the instrument is to amend The Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (the 2018 Regulations) to incorporate technical provision for the regulation of industrial emissions activities, other emissions activities, waste activities, and water activities by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025
These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (the Fees Regulations) and the Town and Country Planning (Hazardous Substances) (Scotland) Regulations 2015. The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 2025
These Regulations set out the fees which Scottish Ministers can charge for appealing planning decisions.They make provision for the payment of fees to the Scottish Ministers for appeals made under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 and by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (Scotland) Regulations 1984. These Regulations apply to the appeals listed in regulation 1(2) The level of fee is to be calculated in accordance with the schedule. The Environmental Protection (Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls and other Dangerous Substances) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025
These Regulations supplement polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) measures set out in Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council on persistent organic pollutants (recast). That EU Regulation replaces and repeals an existing EU Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POPs); namely, Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on persistent organic pollutants and amending Directive 79/117/EEC. This Instrument makes amendments to existing domestic legislation to reflect the new EU requirement to remove all equipment containing more than 0.005 % PCBs or PCB volumes greater than 0.05 dm3 by 31 December 2025. The Deposit and Return Scheme for Scotland Amendment Regulations 2025
These Regulations amend the Deposit and Return Scheme for Scotland Regulations 2020 to alter the full implementation date for Scotland’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) to 1 October 2027 and to make other amendments designed to support delivery and operation of a successful DRS, and technical amendments. The Environmental Regulation (Enforcement Measures) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2025
These Regulations amend the Environmental Regulation (Enforcement Measures) (Scotland) Order 2015 (2015 Order) to include offences created by the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging and Packaging Waste) Regulations 2024. HEALTH & SAFETY LEGISLATION CHANGES
These Regulations give effect to the International Convention for Safe Containers 1972 (CSC) – which the UK ratified in 1978. It revokes the Freight Containers (Safety Convention) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992 (the 1992 Regulations), which previously gave effect to CSC in Northern Ireland, and replaces them with new Regulations giving effect to the current version of CSC, which has been amended several times.
