The Green Gas Support Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations make amendments to the Green Gas Support Scheme Regulations 2021 (2021 Regulations), which provide the legislative framework for the Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS) and the Green Gas Levy (GGL). These amendments improve the effectiveness of the scheme and ensure the scheme delivers against its objective of supporting the development of new anaerobic digestion plants injecting biomethane into the gas grid as a replacement for fossil fuel gas. The Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend the disclosure provisions in the Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 to enable greater access to data about the energy performance of buildings including data which is collected during the assessment process, but which is not lodged on the Energy Performance of Buildings Register. The instrument also changes the Principal Regulations to increase the range of data that can be published online. The Contracts for Difference (Sustainable Industry Rewards) Regulations 2024
These Regulations introduce the Sustainable Industry Rewards (SIRs), formerly known as non-price factors (NPFs), into the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, the UK’s main renewable energy support scheme. This will be a temporary replacement for CfD Supply Chain Plans (SCPs) for offshore and floating offshore wind for CfD Allocation Rounds 7, 8 and 9 only. The Separation of Waste (England) Regulations 2024
These Regulations sets a description of the recyclable household waste and the recyclable relevant waste that will be in each recyclable waste stream for the purposes of sections 45A(10), 45AZA(10) and 45AZB(10) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (the Act) as amended by the Environment Act 2021. This will ensure that a consistent set of recyclable materials is collected for recycling or composting from households, relevant non-domestic premises (such as schools and hospitals) and producers of relevant waste in England. Relevant waste is industrial or commercial waste, which is similar in nature and composition to household waste. The Goods Vehicles (International Road Transport Permits and Haulage Within the EU) Regulations 2024
These Regulations enables enforcement in the United Kingdom (UK) against in-scope UK operators and drivers who do not fulfil certain requirements when making specified journeys, relating to the transport of goods by road in the European Union (EU). The requirements relate to journey number limits and posting drivers (‘posting requirements’), which arise from Articles 462 and 463 and Section 2 of Part A of Annex 31 to the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). The requirements apply to most operators and drivers of goods vehicles based in the UK when they work within the EU.
