The Official Controls (Extension of Transitional Periods) and Plant Health (Frequency of Checks) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2024
These Regulations extend the Transitional Staging Period for the implementation of import checks and controls on certain sanitary and phytosanitary (‘SPS’) goods entering Great Britain (‘GB’) from certain countries. The Transitional Staging Period (‘TSP’) is a period during which the requirements for certain official documents, and for the performance of official controls in relation to some categories of animals, plants and other goods imported into GB have been temporarily eased. Under previous legislation, the TSP was due to end on 31 January 2025, and this instrument extends this to 1 July 2025. The Scheduled Monuments (Partnership Agreements) (Wales) Regulations 2024
These Regulations are made under powers given to the Welsh Ministers by the Historic Environment (Wales) Act 2023 (the 2023 Act). The 2023 Act forms part of a code of law relating to the historic environment of Wales. These Regulations also form part of that Code. These Regulations make provision about partnership agreements relating to scheduled monuments in Wales and also revokes the Scheduled Monuments (Heritage Partnership Agreements) (Wales) Regulations 2021. The Historic Environment (Wales) Act 2023 (Consequential Provision) (Primary Legislation) Regulations 2024
These Regulations consolidate the principal legislation for the conservation of the historic environment in Wales. The 2023 Act forms part of a code of law relating to the historic environment of Wales. The Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014 (Supplier Obligation Regulations). The amendments enable a Contracts for Difference (CfD) counterparty to raise funds from licensed electricity suppliers to provide a payment to any agreed future gas power plants fitted with CCUS technology (power CCUS generators). The payment mechanism is located in Dispatchable Power Agreement CfD contracts designed for power CCUS generators to incentivise the provision of low carbon electricity generation capacity. The Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97) (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend the assimilated Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein (Regulation 338/97) which was retained as domestic law (now known assimilated law) at the end of the Transition Period. That Regulation implements the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in relation to Great Britain including through controls on import and export of species listed in the Annex. Those controls vary according to the part of the Annex in which the species are listed (i.e. Annex A, Annex B, Annex C or Annex D which are contained within the Annex).
