These Regulations sets two exemptions made under section 45AZC of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (the Act). This section creates powers to grant exemptions to the provisions of the Act that implement requirements for recyclable waste to be separately collected so that it can be recycled or composted. The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2025
These Regulations make amendments to the legislation which gives effect to the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (the UK ETS). The UK ETS incentivises decarbonisation by requiring operators to purchase allowances based on carbon emissions. Some operators are given free allocation of allowances to mitigate the risk of carbon leakage. The scheme has two allocation periods, 2021-2025 and 2026-2030, in which free allocation is calculated and provided to eligible operators. The Environmental Protection (Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls and other Dangerous Substances) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2025
These Regulations amend the Environmental Protection (Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls and other Dangerous Substances) (Scotland) Regulations 2000 to clarify technical language in the 2000 Regulations. The instrument will also revoke the Environmental Protection (Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls and other Dangerous Substances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025. The Environmental Protection (Injurious Articles) (Fixed Penalty Notices and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2025

The Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2024
These Regulations ensure that information demonstrating how compliance with mandatory standards setting requirements for the energy and environmental performance of building work is provided. To require the issue of such information to the local authority verifier in respect of building design, on submission of an application for building warrant or application for amendment of building warrant and in respect of construction, on submission of a completion certificate.
